Job summary

Commonpoint Queens is seeking a Director of Employer Engagement to advance IT, Culinary Arts, Security, Construction, Customer Service, and Allied Health internships and employment opportunities. You will connect clients with internships and jobs while ensuring alignment with their career goals.

You will lead employer partnerships, coach job seekers, and coordinate reporting and outreach. The role requires travel across Queens and nearby boroughs, supporting program outcomes and funding

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required in related field.
• Minimum 2 years of workforce development and 1-2 years of job placement experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with employers in key sectors.
• Secure internships, apprenticeships, and direct job placements to meet targets.
• Coach clients on career pathways, resumes, interviews, and networking.
• Provide follow-ups and document progress in Salesforce.
• Travel to Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx as needed (approx. 20% Bronx, 80% Queens).
