Job summary

LifeSkills Connection Inc. is seeking a counselor to provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and personal and social development guidance to students in residential and non-residential settings.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in counseling or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with social services coursework and one year experience in counseling or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver counseling services to students in residential and non-residential settings.
• Administer leaves and passes in CIS to adhere to DOL policies.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions at least monthly and document using RAP format.
• Enter monthly case-notes in CIS using RAP format.
• Assist students in seeking advanced training opportunities (technical training or college admission).
• Maintain documentation of communications with parents/guardians and Admissions Counselors.
