Job summary

Carroll County Schools is seeking a 12 for Life Career Development Specialist to develop and deliver life skills, employability training, and coaching for students in the 12 for Life program at the 12 for Life Facility.

The role involves collaborating with instructors, parents, and industry partners to promote student success, coordinate guest speakers and mock interviews, and maintain program records and progress toward graduation and post‑secondary goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate or eligible.
• Experience with economically disadvantaged youth preferred.
• Knowledge of local social services for at-risk students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver life skills and employability sessions.
• Coach students toward diploma and transition to higher education, enlistment or employment.
• Coordinate with instructors, Southwire, and parents.
• Schedule guest speakers, networking fairs, and mock interviews.
• Maintain records and assess student progress.
• Promote program through social media and community partnerships.
