Job summary

Valtir Llc in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Career Galvanizer to join our galvanizing plant, working full-time on evenings (Mon-Fri, 11am-9:30pm). This role focuses on loading/unloading, material handling, and safety-conscious operation in a fast-paced industrial environment.

You will collaborate with teammates, maintain equipment, follow safety rules, and contribute to production goals while standing most of the day and lifting up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Procure and position various below the hook holding devices, pallets, boxes, pins, wires, chains and more for loading/unloading.
• Piles and stores materials and components in and about the galvanizing plant according to safety rules.
• Check tools and equipment; maintain housekeeping and follow safety regulations.
• Hang parts, stack/unstack; assist with quality control and surface prep; operate overhead crane as needed.
• Work in hot, cold, dirty, and noisy conditions; adapt to different plant areas; follow safety guidelines.

Valtir is currently looking to hire a Career Galvanizer team member for our Fort Worth, TX plant.

Full Time: M-F 11am-9:30pm

What You’ll Do

• Procure and position various “below the hook holding devices”, pallets, boxes, pins, wires, chains, blocking etc., for loading and unloading.
• Performs general labor work as required. Piles and stores materials, products, components, pallets, skids, holding devices, etc., as required in and about the Galvanizing plant in accordance with safety regulations.
• Check tools and equipment in observance of safety regulations. General housekeeping of work area.
• Hang parts, stack and unstack; Familiar with Quality Control; Cleans and prepares surfaces with water and/or hazardous chemicals; certified to operate overhead crane; maintains equipment and work environment; determines preparedness of material for coating; Works under supervision.
• Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty,and noisy.
• The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.
• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.
• Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant. Dependable job attendance is expected.

What you will need

• Work requires an understanding of the galvanizing process, knowledge, and ability to operate all equipment in that area.
• Safely and efficiently performs all essential functions.
• Ability to function as a team member and to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs. Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility standing most of the day.
