Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering (aerospace, chemical, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (college transcripts required).
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of engineering duties in support of material and end-item production.
• Identify and resolve production delays related to procurement, material and part quality, and equipment breakdowns.
• Prepare, review, and edit technical documentation such as SOPs, product data packages, specifications, drawings, and P&IDs.
• Perform engineering calculations supporting process design, equipment configuration, and process condition establishment for mass and energy balances, heat transfer, and pump sizing.
• Assist with developing, documenting, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
• Use engineering principles and data analysis to improve process efficiency, quality, and reliability.
• Support process development, testing, validation, and implementation.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization projects.

These are fulltime positions at the Naval Support Facility (NSF) Indian Head. Indian Head, MD, is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA.

Job Description:

• Assist with developing, documenting, and optimizing manufacturing processes
• Use engineering principles and data analysis to improve process efficiency, quality, and reliability

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the engineering field (aerospace, chemical, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical)
• 0-2 years of experience
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (college transcripts required)
• Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), meticulous attention to detail, highly motivated, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with limited oversight
• Proficiency in using spreadsheets and statistical analysis to compile, analyze, and present data
• Coursework in or experience developing hazard analyses, risk assessments, SOPs, and other technical documentation
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
