As an Equipment Operator at Valtir, you’ll set up and operate machines and may utilize blueprints, make adjustments for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas.

Starting rate $19 - $20 per hour

Full-time: M-F, 5am-1:30pm

What you’ll do:

• Set up and operate production machines to cut, bend, straighten, or form parts as specified by blueprints
• Lay-up sequence and/or templates
• Read blueprints, adjust for thickness, and shape of materials and make appropriate settings
• Load material for processing, verify dimensional requirements
• Unload and may transfer materials to storage areas
• May use overhead cranes or forklift
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

• 1 year of relevant experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to operate three of the following equipment types: press break, shear, punch press, saw drill press or roller
• Ability to understand the technical aspects of the job
• Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures
• Ability to measure accurately
• Ability to safely and efficiently perform all essential functions
• Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional work environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a teamwork environment
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Must be able to lift up to 120 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility standing most of the day.
