Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, rehabilitation counseling, special education, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of Human Services experience.
• Current, valid US driver's license for at least 6 months.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within 2 weeks of employment; MAP certification within 150 days.
• All candidates must pass CORI, reference, multi-state background and driving record checks.

Responsibilities

• Actively seek job opportunities through the internet, resumes, job fairs, cold calls, mailings, walk-ins, networking, presentations to civic organizations, and other methods.
• Locate and develop community contacts to assist in job tours, situational assessments, job placement and follow-up for individuals.
• Respond to issues of and persons served; conduct annual employer satisfaction survey.
• Oversee or provide transportation of persons served to work sites.
• Maintain all vocational assessments and record placements and data.
• Provide training for staff, persons served, and employers regarding employment issues.
• Direct and manage activities of Job Coaches and conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee the Employment Resource Center and data collection.
• Educate families, guardians, DDS and residential staff about community employment.
• Work with agency clinicians to develop sustainable approaches to teaching adaptive behavior.
