Maximus is seeking a Sr. Specialist – Employee Career Development to empower employees in navigating career growth and internal mobility with confidence.
The role provides personalized coaching, interview prep, and career readiness guidance while strengthening materials and aligning skills with career pathways. The ideal candidate will coach, partner with managers and HR, and lead workshops to support internal candidates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience coaching and guiding career development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, high-impact career coaching focused on interview preparation, readiness assessment, and internal mobility.
- Offer guidance on internal mobility norms, timelines, and decision-making.
- Interpret feedback from self-service or AI-enabled prep to calibrate readiness.
- Assist with strengthening résumés, cover letters, portfolios, and professional profiles.
- Advise on Maximus job architecture, role expectations, and progression pathways.
- Partner with managers to prepare employees for internal interviews and mobility discussions.
- Lead targeted workshops for managers, HR, or employee populations.
- Analyze coaching trends and feedback to identify systemic barriers and skill gaps.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of career toolkits and learning assets.
- Navigate sensitive career conversations with professional judgment.
