DayBreak is seeking a Workforce Development Coach to empower individuals in Dayton, OH, guiding career planning and skill-building. You will deliver targeted workshops and provide direct coaching to participants, helping them secure internships and job opportunities while tracking progress and outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with community partners, ongoing labor market research, and advocacy to support clients facing barriers to employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of coaching, mentoring, or counseling experience with youth/young adults; homelessness housing instability preferred.
• Career Coach Certification a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement individualized career development plans for clients based on strengths, interests and goals.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions on job search strategies, resume writing, interview preparation, and other employability skills.
• Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to create internship and job placement opportunities for clients.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to help clients overcome barriers to employment and achieve career objectives.
• Monitor and track client progress, adjusting development plans as needed for successful outcomes.
• Maintain knowledge of labor market trends and employment opportunities relevant to client needs.
• Advocate for clients and build partnerships with community resources and services.
• Prepare regular reports on program outcomes and client progress for stakeholders.
