Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is seeking a Title I Career Planner to join the IowaWORKS office in Spencer, Iowa. The role supports job seekers and employers through coaching, workshops, and direct employment services.

The position offers full-time hours, with hybrid telework and alternate schedules after six months of employment and training. You will work with the AJC team to provide personalized career guidance and labor market information.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Four years of full-time work experience in career services, teaching or training.
• Experience with interviewing, assessing, job placement or related human-services activities.
• Knowledge of IowaWORKS system and workforce resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and respectful service to customers at the IowaWORKS Center.
• Coach job seekers on resumes, cover letters and interview techniques.
• Document services and appointments in the IowaWORKS database.
• Refer customers to workshops, events, and partner services.
• Match job seekers with suitable opportunities and connect to WIOA core partners.
• Assist employers with recruiting and using the IowaWORKS system.
