Job summary

The Vanguard School and Services seeks a dedicated Job Coach to guide students in educational and workplace environments on a full-time, 10-month basis in Malvern, PA. You will supervise, mentor and support students, help with IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers and community partners to foster independent work skills.

Responsibilities include planning Career Day, supervising on-site and community-based work sites, and maintaining a safe learning environment while meeting program standards

Qualifications

• Two years of college or high school graduate with two years of experience working with young adults with special needs.
• Job Coach certification is preferred.
• Experience supporting students with special needs in workplace settings.
• Ability to engage and build relationships with students, staff and partners.
• Strong English usage, grammar and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technology used to track progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in career exploration and developing career-related skills.
• Support lesson plans, track IEP goals, and organize the learning environment.
• Provide vocational coaching to student workers following program guidelines.
• Coordinate and supervise Vanguard’s annual Career Day.
• Supervise students at job sites and in school-based work assignments.
• Transport students to off-campus sites and mentor substitute staff as needed.
• Maintain a nurturing, safe environment and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
