Job summary

The St. Louis Arc is seeking a dedicated direct care role to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is an hourly, full-time position with a schedule Monday–Friday, 40 hours weekly, at $24.04 per hour.

Part-time arrangements may be considered. You will assess interests, help build Career Plans, and connect participants with community volunteer and learning opportunities. Responsibilities include documenting progress, coordinating with families and providers,

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent related experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interest and skills assessments and use gathered data to inform the development of a Positive Personal Profile and Career Plan.
• Expand, maintain, and assist with developing partnerships with area non-profit businesses for volunteer work, unpaid experiences, and assessments.
• Assist people supported to plan and complete diverse volunteer and educational opportunities that align with employment goals.
• Objectively evaluate a person’s knowledge, skills, and abilities for competitive integrated employment.
• Teach skills needed to obtain and maintain competitive integrated employment.
• Provide instructional training at sites with adaptations to increase independence.
• Support individuals with personal care and hygiene as needed.
• Complete documentation per agency and funder timelines.
