Job summary

Brightli's Firefly Employment Services is hiring a Vocational Support Specialist in Missouri to help individuals recognize strengths, develop workplace skills, and pursue meaningful employment. You will build trusted relationships with clients and local employers to create inclusive opportunities.

Responsibilities include coaching, guiding career exploration, creating individualized service plans, delivering on-site and off-site coaching, and supporting transportation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in rehabilitation, human services, education, psychology, or related field.
• Experience in vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, job coaching, case management, disability services, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach individuals to develop career goals, workplace skills, confidence, and independence.
• Guide clients through career exploration, job seeking, onboarding, and long-term employment success.
• Build relationships with local employers to create inclusive employment, training, and work-based learning opportunities.
• Develop individualized service plans based on strengths, abilities, preferences, and goals.
• Provide on-site and off-site job coaching, skill development, and personalized workplace support.
• Teach interviewing, workplace communication, problem-solving, professional behavior, job retention, and independent living skills.
• Partner with employers to identify accommodations and promote disability inclusion.
• Coordinate transportation, benefits support, and work-based learning experiences for client goals.
• Advocate for clients while collaborating with employers, referral sources, families, and community partners.
• Respond to workplace concerns or crises with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Monitor client progress, service authorizations, utilization, and employment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communications per confidentiality and standards.
