University of Connecticut is seeking a Business Career Coach to advise undergraduate School of Business students on career readiness topics, including exploration, personal branding, interviewing, and internship/job search strategies. The role partners with UBCO staff to develop programs and support students from diverse backgrounds.
The ideal candidate will understand diverse student needs and address them equitably, contributing to career-related programs and events.
Under the general supervision of the Director of the Undergraduate Business Career Office (UBCO), the Business Career Coach advises students on a variety of career readiness topics, including, but not limited to, career exploration, personal branding, job-interviewing, and internship/job search strategies. In partnership with other UBCO and Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills staff, the Business Career Coach also develops, plans, and administers career-related programs and activities designed to assist undergraduate School of Business students from diverse backgrounds and identities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the unique needs of diverse populations and a commitment to equitably addressing these needs.
The hiring range for this position is $67,666 to $69,666. An offer of employment, if made, will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s skill and experience, as determined by the University.

This is a full-time 12-month position.The successful candidate must have dependable transportation and the willingness and ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours and travel in-state or out-of-state, as needed, in support of program activities. Other rights, terms, and conditions of employment are contained in the collective bargaining agreement between the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Professional Employees Association (UCPEA).
