The Maine Department of Labor's Bureau of Employment Services is seeking a CareerCenter Consultant to serve jobseekers and employers in Portland and surrounding communities. • Interview jobseekers to identify strengths, goals, and barriers to employment.
• Assess needs and develop individualized service plans linking to programs, training, and Education opportunities.
• Coordinate referrals to employment, education, training, and supportive services.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation per program rules.
• Provide front-line assistance at CareerCenter information points and guide customers to resources.
• Develop and facilitate workshops on employment, career development, and job-search strategies.
• Engage with employers to understand workforce needs and provide labor market information and recruitment support.
