Career Team LLC in Merced, CA is hiring an Adult and Dislocated Worker Career Advisor to perform professional career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services under the supervision of the Executive Director. The role is 100% onsite and requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in operations.

The position involves intake/eligibility, IEP development, data entry, and liaison work with workforce partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience with 5+ years in operations.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources.
• Must be computer literate with MS Word and Excel at minimum and able to learn databases and software systems.
• Ability to work in culturally diverse settings with sensitivity.
• Knowledgeable about the WIOA program requirements.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

LOCATION: Merced, CA

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time

Career Team is looking to hire an Adult and Dislocated Worker Career Advisor who will perform professional workproviding career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services. Work is performed under thesupervision of the Executive Director.

Your Impact on Career Team’s Success:

• Provide information and case management services to the community
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program
• Assess jobseekers’ employment and training needs and abilities through interviewing, testing, and other methods
• Serves as a liaison between workforce development programs and community partners
• Enter data into and otherwise use and process clients through any participant information system as required, andany other database as required by the One-Stop system
• Guide job seekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP) based on their specificoccupational goals
• Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services
• Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs, or job opportunities and follow up on those activities
• Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs, and other group presentations for clients
• Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation; ensure that case files haveoriginals and/or copies of eligibility documentation
• Maintain accurate individual case files for each registered customer assuring that each file contains all requiredeligibility documents and meets compliance requirements
• Develop a comprehensive Individual Employment Plan (IEP) for all customers. Provide referral and tracking ofeligible customers into contracted programs provided on-site at the One-Stop centers and/or located in thecommunity in accordance with established contracts
• Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks. Participate in all staff-related events as required including but notlimited to training, staff meetings, and individual supervision
• Complete all required reports

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of experience inoperations
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions
• Must be computer literate and have MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specializeddatabases and software systems
• Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturallysensitive
• Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals
• Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, bothoral and written required
• Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements
• A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, andefficient in maintaining a high level of confidentiality
• Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• A Valid Driver’s License

Additional Skills/Knowledge Career Team Would Love for This Role:

• Master’s or MBA degree
• Knowledgeable about the local region and relevant partners
• Bilingual or multilingual

Salary: $26- $27/per hour

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Career Team offers a competitive benefits package including healthcare, dental, and personal/vacation time

Travel: Position may require local travel up to 25% of the time
