Texas Instruments is offering a role in the supply chain procurement team in Dallas as part of our Career Accelerator Program (CAP), designed to fast-track your ramp and set you up for long-term success. You will address all aspects of category management, collaborate with manufacturing, planning, and engineering, and lead cost analysis and supplier negotiations from day one.

Qualifications

  • Experience in category management and supplier selection.
  • Experience coordinating purchasing with manufacturing, planning and engineering.
  • Ability to process purchase requisitions and POs.
  • Experience in cost analysis and volume planning.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

Responsibilities

  • Address all aspects of category management, including supplier management, supplier identification and selection, support category business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability
  • Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, business units, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory and services in a cost effective and timely manner
  • Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers
  • Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major categories
  • Monitor the cost, schedule and scope of assigned contracts to negotiate the highest quality at best value
  • Develop new supply sources where suppliers are no longer competitive
  • Recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing
  • Interact closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement processes and supplier management assessment, pricing, and product availability
