Texas Instruments in Dallas invites new graduates to join the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), a 12‑month development track within the TMG organization that provides professional and technical training to accelerate your ramp at TI from day one. The TMG Development program is designed for new college graduates and includes hands-on, meaningful experiences from your first day on the job.

The Facilities CSA Engineering team focuses on sustaining, project management, and construction activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering or architecture is required.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA is required.

Responsibilities

  • Sustaining: oversight of site utilities, excavation, roofing and waterproofing maintenance.
  • Oversee CSA projects to meet design criteria, scope, budget and schedule.
  • Partner with management on technical, administrative, financial, schedule aspects, and customer stakeholder relationships.
  • Support Technician and Operator training and Facilities Engineering for knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain CM’s, PM’s, Event Manager Tasks, and other work as required.
  • Ensure all work complies with TI ESH and applicable codes and permits.
  • Develop scopes of work for bidding by CSA contractors and manage contractors.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and SOOs for systems you own.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and TI sustaining team to complete CSA scope.
  • CSA systems include civil works, roads, structural foundation and framing, exterior and interior works, cleanroom, roofing.
  • Provide project finances, procurement, estimates, forecasting, and capitalization.
  • Provide construction administration and management including responding to submittals and RFIs.
  • Complete projects safely and reliably with zero impact to customer operations.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to plan and execute projects with customer buy-in.
  • Interface with customer organizations and maintain effective communications.
  • Work with peer CSA engineers to develop redundancy for each other.
  • Provide seismic related support to other disciplines where applicable.
  • Direct and execute project commissioning to ensure CSA systems and infrastructure are installed and perform as designed.

In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI, and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job. The TMG Development program is a 12-month program for new college graduates in the TMG organization.

Facilities CSA Engineering responsibilities:
  • Sustaining:
  • Involved in oversight of site utilities, excavation, roofing and waterproofing maintenance program.
  • Involved in oversight of site green space and other property aspects related to site planning.
  • Develop and execute site appearance roadmap.
  • Oversee and coordinate CSA related projects to meet design criteria, scope, budget and schedule.
  • Partner with management on technical, administrative, financial, schedule aspects, strategic communications, and customer stakeholder relationships during the execution of various facilities projects.
  • Support Technician and Operator training as well as Facilities Engineering for knowledge sharing of CSA scope related activities and compliance.
  • Maintain CM’s, PM’s, Event Manager Tasks, and other work as required.
  • Ensure all work complies with TI ESH and applicable codes and standards, including but not limited to work permits, building permits, confined space permits, and burn permits.
  • Partner with management in creating scopes of work for bidding by CSA contractors as well as manage contractors who are awarded respective scopes.
  • Develop and maintain SOP’s and SOO’s for systems that you own.
  • Project Management:
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and TI sustaining team(s) to complete CSA scope for major project to meet safety, cost and schedule goals.
  • Manage CSA related works on the project to comply with applicable codes and standards.
  • CSA systems include:
  • Civil works
  • Roads, drives and sidewalk works
  • Structural foundation and framing
  • Structural steel and utility supports
  • Exterior façade architectural works
  • Interior decorations architectural works
  • Cleanroom architecture and infrastructure
  • Roofing and waterproofing
  • Support project finances, procurement, estimates, forecasting, and capitalization.
  • Provide construction administration and management including responding to submittals and requests for information.
  • Complete projects safely and reliably with zero impact to customer operations.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to plan and execute projects seamlessly with customer’s buy in thru completion.
  • Successfully interface with customer organizations and maintain effective communications.
  • Work with peer CSA engineers to develop redundancy for each other up when necessary.
  • Provide seismic related support to other disciplines where applicable.

Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or architecture
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

  • Basic knowledge of general electrical and mechanical systems operations as they interact and are installed within building structural and architectural systems
  • Ability to coordinate multiple design disciplines on a variety of projects
  • Communicates effectively verbally and written
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Independent, self-motivated and ambitious.
  • Proficient to Microsoft office software include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project as well as proficiency with AutoCAD to review, create and modify drawings.

  • Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and drive for results
