Job summary

LifeView Group in Pensacola, FL seeks a CARE Team Response Technician to support counselors, nurses and therapy staff by providing clinical assistance to adults and children across residential, inpatient, day/evening, outpatient and community programs.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPI training, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor colleagues. A valid driver’s license and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience with seriously mentally ill persons or 24 hours of college completed.
• 3 months experience in a related role required.
• 2 years’ experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention preferred.
• Must pass CPI Training within 3 months.
• Ability to mentor and train others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Position Summary:

A CARE Team Response Technician assists the counselors/therapeutic/nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children who are receiving substance abuse, mental health services or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs and/or community-based programs.

This position is responsible for, but is not limited to:

• Establishing a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.
• Assisting persons receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
• Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of person receiving services.
• Implementing specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan.
• Monitoring and documenting the person’s progress.

Role Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one (1) year of experience working directly with seriously mentally ill persons or completed one year (24 hours) of college classes.
• Must have 3 months experience in a related role.
• 2 years’ experience in acute care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention preferred.
• Must be able to pass advanced level CPI Training within three (3) months of employment.
• Ability to demonstrate sufficient proficiency/competency in utilizing CPI.
• Ability to mentor and train others.
• Ability to demonstrate to the exemplary level our organizations values.
• Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Compensation:

Base pay ranges from $17.50 - $18.75 an hour based on experience with an additional supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) for the Central Receiving Facility. Shift differential pay is $2.00 - $4.00 per hour when applicable.
