Job summary

Home Instead, Inc. is seeking caring individuals to join our team as Care Professionals. The role focuses on enhancing the lives of aging adults by providing non-medical in-home support and companionship in the Owensboro, KY area.

We offer a variety of shifts with competitive pay and benefits. No prior experience is required as comprehensive skills training is provided by Home Instead. Candidates must be able to pass background checks and drive if needed.

• No previous experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation for seniors.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Reminders for medications and appointments.
• Provide Alzheimer’s care as needed.
• Treat clients and their property with dignity and respect.
• Communicate in a friendly and congenial manner.
• Complete required background checks and screenings.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance if driving clients.

Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Alzheimer’s Care
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a criminal background check, motor vehicle recordcheck and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance (required if driving clients)
