The Float Pool offers both full-time and part-time openings, with 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. This department allows you to experience many of our excellent in-patient units by rotating through different units each shift. If you enjoy change, are interested in exploring various areas of the medical field, or are planning to attend nursing school, this department may be a great fit for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable and responsible for providing patient care and comfort under the supervision of a registered nurse, following established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Accurately report information to the registered nurse.
  • Assist with clerical responsibilities for assigned patients.
  • Consider patient population-specific age, developmental stages, and unique needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Follow all HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Adhere to guidelines for electronic records, charts, reports, and documents to ensure privacy and security.
  • Understand and respect the needs and expectations of patients and families to provide patient/family-centered care.
  • Use appropriate, courteous, respectful, and unbiased communication when interacting with patients, families, visitors, and team members.

Schedule: Rotating days, weekends, and holidays. Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30AM-7PM, 10:30AM-11PM, and 6:30PM-7AM.
