Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking an Operations Analytics Manager to lead care management analytics, quality improvement, and project management related to transitions of care.

You will direct non-clinical operations, develop dashboards using Tableau and other systems, and produce QA reports to support leadership decisions and strategic initiatives. The role requires collaboration with IT and clinical staff to enhance data capture and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with project management skills and the ability to work independently.
• 5+ years in the Care Management or Transitions of Care operations and/or analytics.
• 1–2 years’ experience working with grants.
• Intermediate computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to be persistent and follow through.
• Experience with health care quality reporting and/or interpreting health care regulatory/accreditation requirements.
• Experience with data visualization tools including Tableau.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs non-clinical operations and project management of project coordinator and quality managers.
• Prepares reports to identify training opportunities for departmental divisions and individual staff.
• Identifies and reports workflow deficiencies based on data assessments.
• Supports departmental QA activities and generates QA reports for leadership.
• Supports data needs for development and implementation of strategic initiatives to improve performance and services.
• Assists Care Management to meet requests for inter and intra-departmental information.
• Analyze new and revise department metrics and process effectiveness.
• Perform data collection and analysis supporting quality improvement efforts.
