Job Description

The Caregiver will report to the Health & Wellness Director. This is a Part-Time, non-exempt, hourly position.

Schedule:

Part-Time Weekends: All Shifts - 6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm; 10pm-6am.

Salary Range: $22/hr

Job Overview:

The Caregiver assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident’s care plan. Responsibilities include personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide resident care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in their care plan.
  • Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents.
  • Escort residents to meals and activities.
  • Ensure all assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during shifts.
  • Document all services provided to residents during your shift.
  • Report any change in a resident’s condition immediately to your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide.
  • Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population; dementia experience preferred.

Physical Abilities:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
  • Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and support residents physically, using proper body mechanics.
