Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a part-time patient services specialist to support coordinated care delivery in our Florida facility. You will engage with patients, family members, physicians, and care managers while ensuring timely scheduling and documentation of care activities.

The role requires strong computer skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle regulatory letters and approvals under supervision. Join a mission-driven team focused on holistic patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ office experience preferred, ideally in a medical setting.
• Previous data entry experience is preferred.
• Microsoft Office suite skills required (Word/Outlook/PowerPoint/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer services through interactions with patients, physicians, care managers, and the healthcare team.
• Coordinates patient care and services arrangements under RN or SW Care Manager and in collaboration with patient/family.
• Provides and documents delivery of regulatory letters to patients or representatives per regulations.
• Arranges patient transportation and follow-up appointments; obtains insurance authorization as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Promotes excellent customer services through interactions with patients, physicians, care managers, and the healthcare team. Collaborates with the Care Managers for patient care coordination needs. Coordinates patient care and services arrangements under the direction of a RN or SW Care Manager and in collaboration with the patient/family. Provides and documents the delivery of regulatory letters to patients or their representatives in accordance with Federal and State regulations. Arranges patient transportation and follow up appointments as requested. Obtains insurance authorization for patient post-acute care needs as directed by the Care Manager. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills required to include, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Medical terminology helpful.
• Good public relations/clerical and computer skills.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ office experience [Preferred]
• 1+ office experience, preferably in a medical setting [Preferred]
• Previous data entry experience [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$17.28 - $27.65
