Job summary

Lifespan Incorporated is hiring Residential Enrichment Specialists to support people with disabilities in group home and community settings in Charlotte, NC. Training is provided and no prior experience in behavioral health is required.

You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and help residents participate in meals, recreation, and community activities while maintaining dignity and safety. Flexible shifts include days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check.
• Pass Drug Screen.
• Pass driving record check if providing transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently (per policy).
• First Aid/CPR certification required or provided by Lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Teach skills to promote independence.
• Assist with activities of daily living (eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene).
• Support community inclusion and participation in leisure/recreational activities.
• Provide transportation to and from designated sites when needed.
• Use electronic health records to document activities and significant events.
