Job summary

Allen Place is seeking a Care Giver to provide hands-on care and emotional support in a home-like environment. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, promoting dignity, and ensuring residents’ safety.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous experience with seniors preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Strong customer service and multitasking skills.
• Good judgment, problem solving and decision making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of residents' rooms and work areas.
• Help residents maintain independence and safety.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating).
• Engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities.

Education

Certified Nursing Assistant certification

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas
• Helping residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety of each resident
• Participating and assisting residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed
• Engaging residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred
• High School diploma/GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with Residents, management and co-workers
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Must demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
