Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL hires a Transporter to join our patient‑focused team. You will greet patients and transport them to and from clinical and support areas using safe techniques. This role emphasizes strong customer service, the ability to work in a fast‑paced hospital, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required, with ACLS not required. You will collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely transfers and a positive patient

Qualifications

• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• Collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.
