Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in South Charleston, WV is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the nursing center and grounds clean, safe, and orderly. You will perform repairs, change HVAC filters, move supplies, and may step in for the supervisor when needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Change filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carry, lift and stock supplies.
• May assumeMaintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
