Barre Gardens for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Laundry Assistant to support resident comfort and facility cleanliness by ensuring linens and personal clothing are properly washed, handled, and distributed throughout the facility.

The role involves assisting with daily laundry operations, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring residents receive clean linens and clothing in a timely and organized manner. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, cleaning, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain organization.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Place soiled facility and resident linens into washing machines following proper laundry procedures.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Fold or hang clean resident personal linens and clothing.
• Transport and distribute clean linens to resident rooms in a timely manner.
• Hang clothing in closets and place personal items neatly in drawers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Follow facility infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with additional housekeeping or laundry tasks as needed.
