• No prior experience required; housekeeping experience in a long‑term care or institutional setting a plus.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning and disinfecting principles.
• Strong communication skills and a courteous, cooperative attitude.
• Dependability and a neat, professional appearance.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms and bathrooms daily per facility procedures, respecting each resident's belongings and preferences.
• Clean and maintain other facility areas as assigned (tub/shower rooms, offices, kitchen, day rooms, activity rooms, halls, lobby, utility rooms, nurses' stations, linen areas).
• Treat residents with dignity and respect in all interactions.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Properly secure cleaning chemicals per safety protocol.
• Promptly report needed repairs to your supervisor.
• Assist with weekly/monthly deep-cleaning projects as needed.
• Respond appropriately in emergencies or disaster situations.
• Attend required in-service training and staff meetings.
