Job summary

Buckner International invites applications for a Floor Tech/Custodian at our Fort Worth, TX facility. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, caring for cleaning equipment, and managing supplies to support Buckner quality and hospitality standards.

You will perform daily housekeeping tasks, coordinate with nursing staff where needed, and ensure safe, like-new conditions throughout resident rooms, common areas, and offices.

Qualifications

• Requires proficient ability to read, write, and understand business documents written in English.
• Requires ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.
• Requires ability to understand and follow basic written and oral instructions.
• Requires ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping in assigned areas per daily work plan.
• Coordinate housekeeping with nursing services during routine cleaning in resident areas.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces daily to maintain a like-new appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms, baths, offices and common areas; observe safety signs.
• Clean floors via sweeping, mopping, waxing, and disinfecting; ensure signs are in place.
• Dust furniture, windows, mirrors, and light fixtures in resident areas.
• Sanitize bathroom fixtures and replenish soap and towels as needed.
• Keep utility storage areas organized and stocked; clean and mop floors as required.
