Job summary

Buckner International in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Floor Tech/Custodian to join our team. You will help maintain cleanliness, service of assigned areas, and proper care of cleaning equipment and supplies.

This onsite, full‑time role involves daily housekeeping, coordinating with nursing services, cleaning and polishing furnishings and fixtures, and ensuring a safe, like‑new environment. The position requires good English communication, physical stamina, and the ability to follow instructions

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to communicate with residents and staff.
• Must follow written and oral instructions.
• Able to move cleaning equipment around daily.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; 20 pounds frequently.
• Stand and walk for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Coordinate housekeeping with nursing services when cleaning.
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and surfaces daily.
• Service rooms, baths, offices, and common areas to a like‑new condition.
• Maintain floors: sweeping, mopping, waxing, disinfecting as needed.
• Dust furniture, windows, mirrors, and light fixtures in resident areas.
• Clean and polish bathroom fixtures; replenish soap and towels.
• Keep utility storage rooms organized and clean.
