Job summary

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking a qualified Care Coordinator for our Union Square-14th St. location to welcome patients and help manage appointment flow. You will respond to calls and emails promptly, guide patients through out-of-network processes, and maintain a high level of 5-star customer service.

We value a collaborative spirit and strong attention to detail. Previous customer service experience is essential, with a BA/BS preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role or medical front desk preferred.
• Demonstrates hospitable, welcoming demeanor and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients at check-in and ensure they feel welcome and valued.
• Respond to phone calls and emails within 2 hours, and within 24 hours at latest.
• Guide patients through the out-of-network experience and coordinate scheduling.
• Support patient care by maintaining a positive, service-oriented environment.

Job description

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking a qualified, passionate Care Coordinator to join the team at our Union Square- 14th St. location.

Care Coordinators are responsible for supporting patient care by making our patients feel welcomed and valued whilst also controlling the flow of the appointment. Care Coordinators are expected to respond to all phone calls and emails within 2 hours and always within 24 hours.

Care Coordinators will guide our patients through our out-of-network experience and greet all patients who enter the clinic with a smile. Care Coordinators are expected to execute 5-star customer service. Spear strives to foster a true community environment for both patients and team members; therefore, a collaborative spirit is valued to ensure everyone receives the care and support they need.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience
• Someone who is hospitable, welcoming, and team-orientated
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task
• A strong attention to detail and willingness to grow
• BA.BS degree preferred, not required

• Manual dexterity to manipulate office equipment and make written notations
