Job summary

University Health in Texas seeks an experienced nurse leader to manage staff and coordinate patient care activities. You will mentor staff and serve as a role model, collaborating with all healthcare and allied providers.

This position reports to a Nursing Director or Executive Director. The ideal candidate holds a BSN with an active Texas RN license, national certification in a related field, and at least three years of recent hospital or clinic leadership experience, with BLS provider

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with active Texas RN license.
• BSN is required.
• National certification in related fields is required (e.g., CCRN, RNC, CEN, CNOR, OCN, ANCC, CAN, CPAN, CFRN, etc.).
• Three (3) years of recent, full-time hospital or clinic experience are required.
• Verification of course completion in accordance with all AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider guidelines is required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the State of Texas. BSN is required. National certification (e.g.,CCRN, RNC, CEN, CNOR, OCN, ANCC, CAN, CPAN, CFRN, etc.) in related fields is required. Three (3) years ofrecent, full-time hospital or clinic experience are required. Verification of course completion in accordance with all American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider guidelines is required. External applicants must have at least two (2) years in an equivalent management capacity.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

A currentlicense from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse is required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
