Job summary

Texas Physical Therapy Specialists is seeking a Full Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist in Boerne, TX. You will be the first voice and face for patients, handling check-in/out, scheduling, payments, and HIPAA compliance to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Prior medical front desk experience is preferred but not required, and you will work in a collaborative clinic environment

• Experience in a medical front desk, healthcare reception preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and follow-up skills.
• Comfort using computers, scheduling systems, electronic medical records, email, and basic spreadsheets.
• Ability to discuss payments, scheduling and insurance information professionally.
• Calm, patient-centered approach with attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Manage front desk operations including patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals by gathering information, creating or updating patient records, and helping patients understand next steps.
• Keep patient flow and schedules moving by confirming appointments, working waitlists, filling cancellations, and following up with patients who need future visits.
• Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments accurately and professionally, including basic payment tracking or reconciliation when needed.
• Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation.

• Pay:$15-$17/hr
