Job summary

Brien Center for Mental Health in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated professional to provide in-home support to youth and families, implementing treatment plan elements with fidelity.

You will assess safety needs, develop safety plans, and monitor ongoing risk while collaborating with the FIT Clinician to progress toward goals; you will coach families in decision-making and connect them with community resources.

Qualifications

• Interns must be enrolled in a master’s degree program in human services.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services with one year of family therapeutic support experience.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of community resources.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-home support to youth and families and implements elements of the treatment plan.
• Assesses safety needs, develops safety plans, and monitors safety on an ongoing basis.
• Assists FIT Clinician with progress toward treatment plan goals.
• Provides coaching and support in decision making to the youth/family.
• Coordinates and communicates with collaterals.
• Maintains contact with the family 3-5 times per week.
• Offers and delivers services in the home, community, schools, day care, foster homes, and other settings.
• Completes all required documentation in accordance with agency policy and performance specifications.

Weekdays, 1st Shift!

Essential Job Functions:

• Adheres to all applicable state and federal regulations; ensures compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures, code of conduct, and all applicable regulatory requirements


• Provides in home support to youth and families and implements elements of the treatment plan.


• Assesses safety needs, participates in development of safety plans and monitors safety on an ongoing basis.


• Assists FIT Clinician with monitoring of progress toward treatment plan goals and objectives.


• Provides coaching and support in decision making to the youth/family.


• Supports identification of community resources and natural supports.


• Coordinates and communicates with all collaterals.


• Supports youth attendance at school and other community based activities as clinically indicated.


• Maintains contact with the family 3-5 times per week.


• Offers and delivers services in the home, community, schools, day care, foster homes, and other community settings.


• Completes all required documentation in accordance with agency policy and performance specifications.

Qualifications, Experience and Education:

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in the human services field from an accredited university and one year experience providing family members with therapeutic support for behavioral health needs.


• Strong knowledge of computers


• Basic knowledge of community resources.


• Excellent oral and presentation skills.


• Ability to delegate effectively.


• Ability to respond to program scheduling needs on a flexible basis.


• Valid Driver’s License and use of personally insured vehicle for agency business.


• Ability to work mandatory on call rotation.
