Job summary

Bluewater Orthopedics in Niceville, FL is seeking a Referral & Authorization Specialist to coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations across multiple locations. You will maintain accurate documentation and promptly communicate with insurers and primary care offices to ensure authorizations are in the patient chart and attached to orders.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across Bluewater Orthopedics

Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical referrals, prior authorizations, insurance verification, scheduling, or a medical office environment preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance referral and authorization requirements preferred.
• Experience working with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage referrals for all Bluewater Orthopedics offices and providers.
• Obtain and track insurance authorizations prior to procedures and imaging.
• Enter referral and authorization data accurately into the patient chart and systems.
• Attach referrals and authorizations to orders and patient records.
• Communicate with insurers, primary care offices, and imaging facilities as needed.
