Job summary

Mercy is seeking a UAP to provide close observation of patients under the supervision of an RN or LPN, ensuring a safe and clean environment and assisting with patient transport throughout the facility. Mercy supports ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean environment.
• Transport patients safely within the facility as directed.

Under the supervision of an RN (Registered Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), provides close observation of patients. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Promotes the therapeutic environment and the efficiency of the nursing team. Can provide safe patient transport throughout the facility as directed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPCT certification or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum or age 18 and able to participate in Mercy's UAP training program, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
