Overview
Charlie Health is seeking a motivated Care Coach to support clients on their healing journeys. Care Coaches advocate for mental health and help ensure successful, sustainable progress by empathizing with clients and providing motivation to continue engaging in therapy.
Responsibilities
- Engage Charlie Health clients in 1:1 peer discussions via secure platforms to align with treatment goals and programming.
- Provide skill-based interventions to stabilize clients during moments of heightened stress.
- Perform risk screenings and safety planning, escalating to crisis clinicians as indicated.
- Remain a resource during programming to maintain engagement throughout treatment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field and/or relevant certifications (Certified Peer Specialist – national or state accredited).
- 2nd year Master’s students preferred. Prior experience with young adults and adolescents in individual and group settings is highly preferred (Inpatient, IOP, PHP, or RTC).
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience as a mental health peer support, mentor, skills trainer, or mental health associate.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of professional boards and standards related to client treatment, rights, and confidentiality.
- W2 part-time role with a minimum of 15 hours per week. Availability requirements include one of the following schedules: Monday–Thursday 3–9 pm MT, or Monday–Thursday 10 am–2 pm MT, or split shift (preferred); rotating Fridays and Saturdays 9 am–3 pm MT (required). Availability should not fall below 12 hours weekly and may go up to 28 hours depending on needs.
- Reliable WiFi and ability to work remotely; authorized to work in the United States; native or bilingual English proficiency.
- Proficiency with cloud-based tools (Slack, Dropbox, Gmail, Zoom, Google Drive, EMR) and with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Additional Information
The expected pay for this role is $20.00 per hour.
