Job summary

Covenant Living at the Samarkand in Santa Barbara is seeking a Care Attendant Non Certified to support residents with activities of daily living, dining, and light housekeeping in a faith-based community. This part-time role offers meaningful daily interactions and the chance to contribute to residents’ comfort and well-being.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills in English, and genuine compassion toward seniors.

• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written, English) with residents and staff.
• Genuine compassion and patience to senior adults.

Responsibilities

• Give assistance to residents in activities of daily living, dining services, light housekeeping, and routine tasks.
• Assist residents with daily activities.
• Assist with laundry, bed making, light housekeeping and maintain residents’ rooms in a clean and orderly manner.
• Arrange for and deliver meal trays for room service as needed, return trays to kitchen after meals.
