Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Care Associate for the Assisted Living program on the 2nd shift in Cincinnati, OH. You will assist residents with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and follow care plans to ensure dignity and safety.

You will document care, adhere to schedules, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in senior care required.
• Proficiency in English to perform duties and handle emergencies.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility).
• Provide medication reminders and escort services.
• Follow resident care plans and supervisor schedules.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily logs of assistance and notify supervisor of concerns.
• Support residents' independence and dignity.

Job Description

• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.

Qualifications

• You have at least oneyearof experience working in senior care.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful.
• You have the ability to work as a part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high stress situations.
• You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.
