Senior Lifestyle is seeking compassionate staff to assist residents in our Assisted Living Program with daily living activities, medication reminders, and emotional support.

This full-time, on-site role in Cortland, NY offers an hourly rate of $17.50–$21.00 plus bonuses and shift differential, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, disability coverage, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in senior care.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform duties and respond to emergencies.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document logs.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing and daily living activities.
• Follow resident needs schedules as set by supervisor.

Job Description

Salary: $17.50 Plus BONUSES and Shift Differential

• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of the resident’s needs set out by the supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily log of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.

Qualifications

• You have at least oneyearof experience working in senior care.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
• You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You are compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful.
• You have the ability to work as a part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high stress situations.
• You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.
