Premier Health Partners, P.C. is seeking a highly organized Prior Authorization Specialist to join our Rheumatology team in Buffalo, NY.

This full-time role focuses on obtaining authorizations for medications, labs, and procedures, coordinating with providers, insurers and patients to ensure timely access to care. You will deliver courteous, accurate service, verify eligibility, arrange financial assistance, and maintain clear documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with healthcare facility experience preferred.
• Experience with medical billing, insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorizations for all medications, chemotherapy, surgery and labs for all providers.
• Verify eligibility for medications, chemotherapy, surgery and labs.
• Find and set up financial assistance for patients.
• Fax infusion orders to the infusion center.
• Act as the point person if there is an issue with a prior authorization or a code for the hospital.
• Track prior authorizations for expiration dates.
• Deliver exemplary customer service to provide a positive patient experience.
