Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a medical business office, patient registration, or healthcare setting involving insurance verification and authorization.
• Proficiency with insurance verification, pre-certification, and prior authorization workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits prior to scheduled services.
• Determine pre-certification and prior authorization requirements across WCHS departments.
• Obtain required authorizations from third-party payers before services are rendered.
• Enter authorization numbers and related data accurately into systems.
