Job summary

Blue Ridge Care in Warrenton, VA seeks a Care Access Consultant to help individuals access hospice and palliative care. This field-based role focuses on building relationships with hospitals, providers, and community organizations across the service area.

You’ll travel throughout the region, conduct in-person visits, and develop marketing plans to increase referrals and admissions. You’ll document outreach in the CRM and support admission processes with clinical and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in marketing, business development, or community relations (healthcare preferred).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to travel across the service area and work independently.
• Familiarity with hospice eligibility or willingness to learn.

Care Access Consultant

Service Area: Entire Blue Ridge Care Region

Are you driven by connection, education, and community impact? Blue Ridge Care is hiring a Care Access Consultant to help individuals and families access care that truly makes a difference. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the field, building relationships, and representing a mission-driven healthcare organization.

In this full-time position, you’ll strengthen partnerships with hospitals, providers, and community organizations across our service area. You’ll also play an important role in increasing access to our hospice and palliative care services. The role comes with competitive pay and eligibility for our monthly incentive plan.

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources across the service area
• Share information about Blue Ridge Care’s hospice and palliative care services with providers, caregivers, and the community
• Conduct in-person visits, presentations, and outreach activities to increase referrals and admissions
• Develop and execute quarterly and annual marketing plans
• Track referral trends, document outreach in the CRM system, and follow up on leads
• Meet with families and caregivers to explain services and support the admission process
• Represent Blue Ridge Care at community events, health fairs, and professional forums
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support an excellent care experience
• Travel throughout the region and attend occasional after-hours or weekend events

What You Bring

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
• At least two years of marketing, business development, or community relations experience (healthcare preferred)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfort navigating healthcare settings and speaking with providers and families
• Ability to work independently, organize field time, and follow up consistently
• Basic understanding of hospice eligibility (or willingness to learn)
• Reliable, insured vehicle and willingness to travel across the service area
