Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience; NEW GRADUATES are encouraged to apply.
  • BLS certification required upon hire.
  • ACLS certification required within 3 months of employment.

Job description

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is a teaching hospital, trauma center, neonatal intensive care unit, and home to the Johns Hopkins Burn Center, the only adult burn trauma center in Maryland, with about 420 beds.

Our Cardiovascular Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, recently renovated in January 2021. We utilize many resources and cutting-edge tools to provide excellent patient care.

As a Cardiovascular Tech, you will assist physicians with cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions such as Cardiac Cath (Right and Left heart cath), stent deployment for heart attack patients, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Insertion, and Transcutaneous Pacemaker Wire placement. You will also assist with IVUS/FFR studies to evaluate blood flow in arteries.

NEW GRADUATES: This role is suitable for a radiology technologist who has completed an AMA-accredited School of Radiologic Technology or holds an AA Degree in Radiology. You will have opportunities to learn how to assist with Stress Testing Procedures and Nuclear Medicine Studies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a teamwork approach, and a willingness to learn.

Shift: PRN

On-call rotation required based on departmental needs

Salary Range: $1.00/hour to $1,000.00/hour. Compensation will be based on experience and role scope. Salary details will be discussed during screening.
