Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist I to perform technical functions in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, including recording physiologic data, monitoring, and assisting cardiologists during procedures. The role requires a radiologic technology background and ARRT/registry eligibility.

Expect to maintain equipment, manage inventory, and support patient care within a fast-paced lab.

Qualifications

• Completion of a (JRCERT) accredited Radiologic Technology Program or Completion of an accredited school of cardiovascular technology
• High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
• One-year experience in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and/or radiology lab as a technologist
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences
• Medical terminology
• Basic math and keyboard proficiency
• Basic working knowledge of computers and office equipment

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and calibrate the hemodynamic recorder system and related equipment used during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Input patient data and manage imaging during procedures
• Maintain supplies and inventory for cost-effective operation
• Prepare patient and surgical site, assist with procedures as directed
• Assist with arterial and venous sheath removal and patient transport
• Provide clear, organized communication to management and team members
• Uphold professional image and adherence to hospital policies
