Job Description

To provide continuous, comprehensive care to adult and geriatric invasive cardiology and peripheral angiography patients, utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills in compliance with care standards and customer service standards. Performs angiographic procedures, including invasive vascular treatments and examinations, ensuring optimal image quality. All care is provided based on the model of care for TCH, promoting ongoing partnerships between patients, families, and healthcare providers. The care is culturally sensitive and age-specific.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Conduct holistic assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs. Recognize signs and symptoms, report abnormal data, collaborate with team members, assess safety risks, provide education, respond to emergencies, and assist in procedures with sterile techniques.
• Radiation Safety: Follow department policies on radiation safety, use protective equipment, screen females of childbearing age, and wear dosimetry badges.
• X-Ray Functions: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, verify operation, transfer images, troubleshoot equipment, and load pressure injectors.
• Documentation: Accurately document procedures and patient information in electronic records, monitor physiologic data, recognize arrhythmias, and demonstrate leadership skills.
• Professional Development: Participate in meetings, ongoing education, peer reviews, and professional organizations. Maintain certifications and competencies.
• Productivity: Manage workload efficiently, utilize resources responsibly, and understand fiscal responsibilities.
• Unit Population Served Competency: Demonstrate understanding of the specific needs of diverse patient populations, including cultural, developmental, and health literacy considerations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral anatomy, professionalism, communication skills, and cultural competence.
• Licenses: ARRT registration, Ohio Radiologic License, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
