Overview

We are seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist, also known as a Cath Lab Technologist. This specialized healthcare professional assists in diagnosing and treating heart and vascular conditions, performing diagnostic tests, managing equipment, and supporting physicians during procedures. Cardiovascular technologists are vital for accurate diagnostics, safe interventions, and high-quality patient support, ensuring the efficient operation of our cardiology department.

Bonus Options: up to $20,000

Employment Type: Full Time

Shifts Available: Days (Some Call Required)

Hours: 8-hour or 10-hour options available

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX

Responsibilities

Candidates within six months of obtaining their Registered Technologist (R.T.) certification through ARRT/ARRT-R, recent graduates, and entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply.

• Perform Electrocardiograms (EKGs) to monitor heart activity and detect abnormalities
• Assist in cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures
• Assist with angioplasty and stenting procedures
• Support pacemaker and defibrillator implantations
• Prepare patients for cardiovascular tests and procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs during tests and procedures

Qualifications

Must-have:

• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire

Additional skills and qualifications:

• Proficient computer skills
• Preferred: ARRT-R certification and license, RCIS, or relevant training in invasive cardiology
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab is a plus
