The Cath Lab Technologist at SnapCare assists physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and maintaining a sterile, safe environment for high-quality care.

Based in Atlanta, GA, this contract position runs for 13 weeks with a pay rate of $2,600 per week and day or night shifts. Ideal candidates hold ARRT or RCIS, a GA license, BLS, and prior interventional lab experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field
• Certification such as RCIS preferred or ARRT in Radiography
• Valid GA state license and BLS required

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the catheterization lab, ensuring sterility and proper function of equipment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications under physician supervision as permitted.
• Scrub in and assist with sterile techniques during procedures.
• Prepare patients pre-procedure and provide post-procedure care instructions.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain procedure documentation.
• Ensure radiation safety and infection control standards.

Description of job:

The Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures. This role is responsible for preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and ensuring a sterile and safe procedural environment while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field
• Completion of an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technologist program
• Certification such as:Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred
  OR certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Radiography (R)
• Valid state license in GA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or interventional setting preferred
• Experience assisting in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology procedures is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the catheterization laboratory, ensuring all equipment is sterile and functioning properly

• Administer medications under physician supervision as permitted
• Scrub in and assist with sterile techniques during procedures
• Prepare patients pre-procedure and provide post-procedure care instructions
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including cardiac events
• Maintain accurate patient records and procedural documentation
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
